As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and interpreting medical images to provide high-quality patient care. Your expertise will contribute to the overall efficacy of our medical practice, addressing a wide spectrum of cases and collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
- Interpret and analyze medical images for accurate diagnosis
- Collaborate with physicians to discuss imaging results and patient care
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations in imaging
- Maintain detailed patient records and document findings
- Stay updated on advancements in radiology and imaging techniques
- Provide recommendations for follow-up imaging or tests as needed
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of North Carolina
- Strong understanding of radiological techniques and patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset
- Familiarity with medical imaging software and technology
- Previous experience in a clinical environment preferred
Schedule: 8 to 9-hour day shifts, specific dates
No call requirement
Setting: Onsite
Caseload: 50% light IR, 50% DX
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
