Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Hematology and Medical Oncology departments
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop patient care plans
- Administer treatments and therapies in accordance with established protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and side effects
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Massachusetts
- Associate's degree in Nursing or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Basic understanding of Hematology and Medical Oncology principles
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Prior experience in an oncology setting is highly desirable
- Commitment to patient care and continuous professional development
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30a-5p
No call requirement
11 infusion bays
Daily Volume: 32 patients
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
