 This contract position offers an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals seeking on-site engagement in a dynamic medical practice environment.

As a Locum NP Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex medical needs. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our internal medicine department, working alongside a collaborative team of healthcare providers to enhance patient outcomes and ensure the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to manage patient care
• Conduct physical examinations and order diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate
• Educate patients and families about health management
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely
• Adhere to clinical protocols and best practices in patient care

Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Tennessee
• Experience in Internal Medicine or hospitalist settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement
• Flexibility to adapt to changing clinical situations

Shifts: 7a-7p, 3p-3a, and 7p-7a

Schedule: 7 on/7 off

Nightly Volume: ~15 admits, 2-3 calls per hour

Duties: Evaluate and handle new admissions, EKG reviews for possible STEMIs, some critical care coverage, etc.

No procedures required

Support Staff: Hospitalist MD on backup call, APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
