Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations in critical care settings
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with pulmonary conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options
- Document all patient interactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research as applicable
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and protocols
Requirements
- Valid NP or PA certification and license in the state of practice
- Experience in critical care or pulmonology preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
Schedule: 6p-7a
Daily Volume: 9-12 patients, 2-3 admissions
Setting: Adult ICU
Skills Required: Ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex medical decision-making
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
