As a Locum NP or PA, you will play a vital role in our medical practice, working alongside experienced healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional emergency care. This role is essential in helping us meet the needs of our community, and your contributions will directly impact patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations in the emergency setting
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Perform minor procedures and interventions as necessary
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in emergency response drills and training
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory protocols within the emergency department
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
- Current NP or PA licensure in the state of practice
- Experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings preferred
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and priorities
Schedule: 7a-7p or 3p-12a, ~8 shifts per month
Annual Volume: 25k patients
21 ED rooms and 22 ED beds
Team Structure: Mix of physicians and APPs
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
