 This on-site, contract position provides an exceptional opportunity to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced medical practice environment.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with surgeons and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality surgical care. Your expertise will be essential in assessing patients, assisting in surgical procedures, and providing post-operative care. 

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures and ensure patient safety
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with surgeons
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust care plans as necessary
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care and education
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care discussions
• Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and best practices in surgical care

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing or a related field
• Current NP or PA licensure in the state of Texas
• Experience in general surgery or a related medical field
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and patient care protocols
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required

Schedule: Weekends, 6a-6p

Duties: Inpatient consultation coverage for general surgery/trauma adult patient populations

Support Staff: Nurses

EMR: eCW

Must be board-certified
