This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work on-site with a dynamic team focused on providing high-quality patient care in the orthopedic field.
In this role, you will contribute to the treatment and management of orthopedic conditions, working closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that patients receive the best possible care throughout their treatment journey.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and evaluations in orthopedic settings
- Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans
- Perform minor procedures under the supervision of orthopedic surgeons
- Provide patient education regarding orthopedic conditions and treatments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in patient follow-up and ongoing care management
- Stay current with advancements in orthopedic practices and technologies
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant program
- Current NP or PA license to practice in the state
- Previous experience in orthopedic surgery preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Schedule: 4 or 5 days per week
Call Requirement: 8-12 days per month
Setting: Primarily outpatient clinic with some inpatient consults
Patient Ages: Adults and geriatrics
Procedures Required: Casting, splinting, injections, and wound care procedures
OR/first assist experience preferred
EMR: Meditech
Board certification required
