As a Locum NP/PA in Psychiatry, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with various mental health conditions. This position requires a compassionate approach and the ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans that promote patient well-being.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services as needed
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Educate patients and their families about mental health issues
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Nursing or related field for NP; relevant degree for PA
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant
- Experience in psychiatric or mental health settings is preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40-hour workweek
No weekends or call required
Setting: Outpatient
Patient Population: All ages
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
