In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment to patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Your expertise will help shape treatment plans and ensure continuity of care, playing a pivotal role in improving patient outcomes within our psychiatric services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders
- Prescribe medication and monitor patient responses
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services as needed
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Monitor and manage the mental health needs of patients
- Educate patients and their families about mental health issues
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Massachusetts
- Prior experience in psychiatric care preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Knowledge of mental health assessment techniques
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Commitment to maintaining a compassionate and patient-centered approach
Schedule: 4–5 days/week (24 hours total)
Setting: Outpatient
Weekly Volume: 10-25 patients
Patient Population: Adults
Duties: Conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary PACT team on treatment planning
Case Types: Psychiatric disorders and high-acuity patients
EMR: CareLogic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Additional Certifications: DEA and CSR
