As a Locum PA in Emergency Medicine, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in emergency situations. You will work collaboratively with our medical staff to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, ensuring that they receive timely and effective medical attention.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical histories
- Provide immediate care for emergency medical conditions
- Assist in diagnostic procedures and interpret test results
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
- Administer medications and perform procedures as needed
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and follow-up care
- Document patient care accurately in medical records
- Maintain compliance with medical protocols and regulations
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Physician Assistant studies or related field
- Current PA license and certification to practice in the state
- Experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations
- Knowledge of medical protocols and emergency care procedures
- Willingness to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Schedule: 8a-4p, 8a-7p, 1p-10p, or 10a-10p
Shifts available at multiple facilities
Annual Volume: ~14k patients
Support Staff: MD, subspecialty teams
EMR: eCW
