This contract role offers a remarkable opportunity to provide specialized care in a dynamic healthcare environment, directly impacting the lives of patients battling cancer.
As a Locum Physician in Oncology, you will play a key role in diagnosing and treating patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Your expertise will be essential in advancing patient care through innovative treatment options and personalized support.
The provider will be performing duties across various locations as outlined below:
- **Winchester Coverage**: Scheduled for Wednesdays each week.
- **Hagerstown Coverage**: Set for twice monthly on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays.
**Work Schedule**: The provider will maintain a regular work schedule from Tuesday to Friday, with Mondays off. Standard hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, including a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
**On-Call Duties**:
- Night call responsibilities will be assigned on select days; specific scheduling is to be determined.
- Weekend call schedule is also to be determined. The provider will participate in a call rotation, serving as both primary and backup for the Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). During on-call periods, the provider is only required to be available via telephone. The APP will initiate contact if the provider's physical presence in the hospital is necessary.
**Telemedicine**: Not applicable.
**Documentation**: Case logs will be required.
**Qualifications**:
- Must possess an active Indiana State License or hold an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) certification.
- **Vaccinations**:
- **Influenza**: Mandatory, unless exempted for medical or religious reasons.
- **COVID-19**: Mandatory, unless exempted for medical or religious reasons.
- **Certifications**: - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required for those requesting conscious sedation privileges.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required across all specialties.
