As a Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in managing inpatient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality treatment and patient outcomes. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with specialists and primary care providers
• Manage admissions, discharges, and transitions of care
• Educate patients and their families on health management
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records
• Stay updated with the latest medical practices and guidelines

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Current board certification in Internal Medicine
• Active medical license in the state of New York
• Experience in a hospitalist role or similar inpatient setting preferred
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to make critical decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement

Schedule: 7p-7a, 7 on/7 off

No call requirement

Nightly Volume: 6-8 admits

Will cover admissions

Support Staff: Residents, house officers, and full subspecialty support onsite

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
