**Core Responsibilities:**
The primary responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, the following:
- Deliver a comprehensive array of Physician Assistant (PA) services in both primary and specialty medical care, operating within the scope of their training and the privileges granted by the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
This includes supervision and execution of general screenings, medical care, and examinations for patients with routine, acute, and chronic conditions across all organ systems; administering immunizations; and diagnosing, treating, and counseling patients as necessary.
- Technically direct and manage care for a diverse range of diseases and injuries (including acute, chronic, and minor trauma) while possessing the capability to recognize emergency medical conditions for effective diagnosis, treatment, and referral of complex or serious cases to qualified medical personnel.
- Provide technical direction and educational oversight to other staff members, offering lectures and participating in in-service training programs.
- Advocate for preventive care and health maintenance through annual physical exams and promoting positive health behaviors and self-care via formal education and individualized counseling.
- Prescribe medications and immunizations in alignment with established treatment protocols and the guidelines of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
- Assess medical issues and formulate appropriate responses, including referrals to supervising physicians when necessary.
- Execute specific diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in accordance with the established scope of practice.
- Foster collaborative relationships with physicians, nursing personnel, and other healthcare team members to enhance and streamline primary care service delivery.
- Educate patients and their families on maintaining healthy lifestyles and promoting personal responsibility for wellness.
- Participate in staff meetings for case discussions, continued professional development, and initiatives aimed at continuous quality improvement.
- Engage in the peer review process to maintain professional standards.
- Conduct specialized evaluations such as Physical Health Assessments (PHA), Service History Physical Examinations, and Separation History and Physical Examinations (SHPE) for non-flying personnel and those from sister services assigned to MTF.
- Assess medical documentation to evaluate if Active Duty (AD) members meet qualifications for retraining, Special Duty, and CONUS & OCONUS assignments, in compliance with applicable Department of Defense and Air Force regulations.
**Work Schedule:**
The work schedule is from 0700 to 1700, Monday through Friday, including a one-hour uncompensated meal break as designated by the clinical department.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
- **Degree:** A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- **Education:** Graduation from an accredited institution recognized by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or its predecessors, and accepted by HQ USAF/SG.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 12 months of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.

**Certification:** Must be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and maintain certification throughout the duration of this task order.
- **Licensure:** Must hold a current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- **Security Clearance:** Ability to pass a governmental background check/security clearance.
- **Life Support Certification:** Current certification as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC).
