We are seeking an experienced full-time Staff Physician specializing in Internal Medicine for the Health Equity and Value-Based Care Faculty position at a pioneering Value-Based Care Clinic in Dallas, Texas. The chosen candidate will serve as core faculty for the Internal Medicine Health Equity Track, providing high-quality, evidence-based, population-centered care and mentoring Internal Medicine residents within a collaborative academic environment focused on health equity, quality improvement, and community-centered medicine.

 

**Teaching & Educational Leadership Responsibilities:**

- Act as core faculty for the Internal Medicine Health Equity Track. - Supervise Internal Medicine residents in a clinic-based experiential learning environment.

- Deliver real-time clinical teaching covering:  

- Primary care  - Population health management

  - Principles of value-based care  

- Health equity-oriented practice

- Educate residents to incorporate:  

- Social determinants of health into clinical practice

  - Community-engaged care methodologies

  - Equity-centered clinical decision-making frameworks

- Engage in:  - Journal clubs  - Lecture series  - Case conferences  - Resident workshops - Mentor residents in:  

- Quality improvement projects  - Health equity research initiatives  

- Scholarly activities and projects

- Collaborate with residency and program leadership to enhance and align the curriculum with ACGME competencies. - Provide both formative and summative feedback to foster residents’ professional development.

**Direct Patient Care Responsibilities:**

- Deliver comprehensive Internal Medicine services within the Value-Based Care Clinic.

- Employ evidence-based guidelines and value-based care methodologies.

- Contribute to the establishment and refinement of value-based standard operating procedures for the clinic.

- Utilize:  - Population health analysis tools  

- Risk stratification techniques  

- Care coordination strategies

- Aim to improve patient outcomes and mitigate healthcare disparities.

- Identify and address non-medical social determinants impacting patient care.

- Provide coordinated, team-based care in collaboration with interdisciplinary colleagues, including:  

- Care managers  - Pharmacists  

- Social workers  

- Behavioral health specialists  

- Community partners

**Qualifications:**

- Completion of an ACGME or AMA accredited residency program.

- Board Eligible or Board Certified in the appropriate specialty.

- Active Texas Medical License, or willingness to obtain one.

- At least one professional reference within the last 24 months.

- Clean malpractice and license history.

- Experience in medical education, health equity, population health, or value-based care.

- Strong interest in resident education and academic medicine.

- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care environment.

**Certification Requirements:**

- Board Certification in relevant specialty.

**State License Requirements:** - Texas Medical License.
