**Position Overview: Special Projects Superintendent**

The Special Projects Superintendent acts as the initial supervisory line for managing crews involved in the installation, modification, expansion, and repair of electrical systems, conductors, materials, and associated apparatus across various specialized construction projects. 

This role entails serving as the primary jobsite supervisor on designated projects, whether they are construction, retrofits, or tenant improvements, ensuring the effective execution of complex and specialized tasks within defined schedules and quality parameters.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

- Provide leadership and supervision to field trades engaged in specialized electrical construction projects.

- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager during project take-offs and the formation of working estimates to delineate project scope and assess manpower requirements.

- Strategically plan and coordinate work assignments for lead personnel while ensuring the timely procurement of materials, tools, equipment, workforce, and critical project data.

- Formulate and oversee work schedules and man-loading charts in alignment with project objectives and deadlines.

- Direct field crews in the installation of:   

- Electrical feeders   

- Equipment installations, including pumps, motors, and generators   

- Control and distribution systems, encompassing switchgear, relays, and circuit breaker panels  

 - Comprehensive lighting systems, outlets, and associated connections and terminations

- Monitor ongoing project work to uphold quality standards, safety regulations, and operational efficiency; facilitate coordination with other trades as necessary.

- Engage in hands-on work as needed, either for training purposes or to enhance workforce productivity.

- Administer all essential jobsite documentation, including daily reports, time sheets/tickets, safety forms, and formal correspondence.

- Champion a safe work environment by:   

- Ensuring all team members receive adequate training to perform their duties effectively   

- Enforcing compliance with safety standards and protocols   

- Assisting in the investigation and documentation of accidents or safety incidents on-site

**Minimum Qualifications:**

- At least three years of experience in a Foreman or Superintendent capacity within electrical construction projects.

- Strong mechanical aptitude coupled with proficient mathematical and English communication skills.

- In-depth knowledge of electrical theory and its application to jobsite installations.

- Flexibility to work occasional overtime as required.

- Possession of an active TDLR Journeyman’s License.

- Valid Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred.
