Description

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager for a client in Toronto. They are looking for PMs with experience working on Technical/Development projects, especially in the Wealth Management sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide leadership to successfully deliver small to mid size initiatives.
- Understand business needs for clients in Banking and Financial Services
- Responsible for overall project planning and work estimates.
- Coordinate project teams and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and report variances.
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all stakeholders including executives.
- Prepare reports and presentations to share project updates.
- Identify and resolve issues that arise during project execution.
 - Assist with proposals and pre-sales as needed.

 REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Information Technology, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of successfully delivering projects as a project manager.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree complemented with Project Management Certification (PMP) and or Agile/Scaled Agile certification.
- Results oriented; highly developed consultative, interpersonal skills and a team player.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
o Experience delivering complex projects.
o Familiarity with project management tools.
o Strong communication skills and direct communication experience with senior business and technology executives.
o Proven track record of high customer satisfaction.
o Ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- At least 3 years’ experience in the Financial Industry, preferably in wealth management or banking.
- Excellent written and presentation skills.
o Ability to communicate at all levels with business as well as technology teams and stakeholders.
- A positive, “can-do” attitude and customer focused approach.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and manage multiple priorities in parallel.
- Strong business and IT knowledge and experience in the Financial Industry.
- In-depth understanding of delivery methodologies and architectures.
- Experience of delivering projects using a true Agile/Scrum/Hybrid methodology preferred
