Machine Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) 

The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for the emergency repair and on-going maintenance required to ensure the optimum performance of the user’s electronic and hardware systems. The focus of the position is to perform the day to day functions of machine repair and maintenance including troubleshooting. 

LOCATION: Des Plaines, IL 60018
POSITION: Contract
PAYRATE: 29.50 hour
SHIFT: 2nd Shift - 2:00pm to 10:00pm

• Repairs and maintains machinery, mechanical/electrical equipment through inspection, troubleshooting, and evaluation to determine root cause of problems.
• Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.
• Cleans and lubricates parts, orders replacement parts, inspects completed repairs and returns equipment to
• Adapts procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs.
• Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues. 

Qualifications: 

• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• 3 years prior machine maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical/electrical understanding of complex equipment.
• Use of basic hand tools and power tools. Knowledge of machine tools and their use.
• Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions and engineering specifications.
