Machine Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

The Machine Maintenance Technician will complete preventative maintenance requirements (equipment, conveyor systems, production machines); performs minor repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and other aspects of the physical plant.

LOCATION: Townsend, MA 01469
POSITION: Contract
SCHEDULE: 2nd Shift – 3:00pm to 11:00pm (Training for 1 week will be on 1st shift)
PAY RATE: $25.00 hour

• Responsible for Maximizing production up time and high-quality products by ensuring machines and physical plant are operating at optimum levels.
• Completes preventative maintenance requirements (equipment, conveyor systems, production machines); performs minor repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and other aspects of the physical plant. Provides ongoing troubleshooting and repair of equipment. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devised in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments. Restores machine operations by diagnosing extent of repairs required, refitting, repairing, replacing parts, or making adjustments.
• Trains production employees in routine preventative maintenance techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

• Education and Experience: HS/GED
• 2 years prior machine maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical/electrical understanding of complex equipment.
• Use of basic hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledge of machine tools and their use.
• Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs. .

Preferred Qualifications:
 

• 3 years prior machine maintenance experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
