MACHINE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

The Machine Maintenance Technician will complete preventative maintenance requirements (equipment, conveyor systems, production machines); performs minor repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and other aspects of the physical plant.

·         Responsible for Maximizing production up time and high-quality products by ensuring machines and physical plant are operating at optimum levels.

·         Completes preventative maintenance requirements (equipment, conveyor systems, production machines); performs minor repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and other aspects of the physical plant.

·         Provides ongoing troubleshooting and repair of equipment.

·         Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments.

·         Restores machine operations by diagnosing extent of repairs required, refitting, repairing, replacing parts, or making adjustments.

·         Trains production employees in routine preventative maintenance techniques.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Education and Experience: HS/GED and 2 year’s-experience or Tech Cert.

·         Experience in maintenance in a production environment.

·         Knowledge of machine tools.

·         Basic electrical and electronic repair knowledge.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Education and Experience: Mechanical, electrical and computer certification preferred.

·         Ability to follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions and engineering specifications.

·         Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

·         Strong verbal communication skills.

·         Experience with troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
