Job Summary
Talpa Supermercados is seeking a Director of Marketing to lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies across multiple store locations. This role is responsible for driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, store traffic, digital engagement, and revenue growth.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in retail marketing, multicultural (Hispanic/Latino) markets, and managing multi-location campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement company-wide marketing strategies aligned with business objectives
- Lead brand positioning and ensure consistency across all channels and store locations
- Support new store openings, remodels, and expansion initiatives
- Provide strategic marketing insights to executive leadership
- Analyze customer behavior, trends, and market opportunities
Retail & Promotional Marketing
- Plan and execute weekly, seasonal, and holiday promotions
- Partner with merchandising and operations on pricing strategies and circulars
- Drive in-store traffic and revenue through targeted campaigns
- Manage vendor-funded promotions and co-op marketing initiatives
Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement
- Oversee digital channels including website, SEO, social media, email, SMS, and mobile
- Develop customer loyalty and retention programs
- Monitor online reviews and customer feedback platforms
- Use data analytics to improve targeting, engagement, and ROI
Advertising & Media Management
- Manage media planning across TV, radio, print, outdoor, and digital channels
- Negotiate contracts with agencies, media partners, and vendors
- Track campaign performance and optimize marketing spend
Community & Brand Relations
- Lead community outreach programs, sponsorships, and events
- Build partnerships with local organizations
- Strengthen brand presence in multicultural markets
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor the marketing team
- Manage agencies, designers, and external vendors
- Establish KPIs and accountability measures
Analytics & Reporting
- Track KPIs including sales lift, traffic, ROI, and customer acquisition
- Provide regular performance reports to leadership
- Use data insights to improve strategy and budget allocation
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field required
- MBA preferred
Experience
- 8–12+ years of marketing experience
- 5+ years in a leadership role
- Retail or grocery industry experience preferred
- Experience managing multi-location and e-commerce marketing programs
