Position Summary 

The Warehouse Coordinator supports the daily operations of Talpa's distribution center, ensuring accurate receiving, organized storage, and timely delivery of products to our 13 store locations. This role is key to maintaining inventory integrity, FIFO compliance, and operational flow between vendors, the warehouse, and stores. 

Key Responsibilities 

Receiving & Inventory Control 

  • Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders (3-Way Match: PO – Receiving – Invoice) 
  • Log discrepancies, damaged goods, and short deliveries in the appropriate system 
  • Ensure accurate product labeling, dating, and placement following FIFO protocols 
  • Support real-time inventory counts and cycle counts across warehouse locations 

Warehouse Operations 

  • Coordinate daily picking, packing, and dispatch of product to store locations 
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse layout including bin/location control 
  • Support implementation and adoption of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) 
  • Monitor stock levels and flag replenishment needs to the procurement team 

Distribution & Store Coordination 

  • Coordinate delivery schedules with drivers and store receiving teams 
  • Track outbound shipments and resolve store-level discrepancies 
  • Communicate proactively with buyers and the CPFR team on product availability and delays 

Reporting & Compliance 

  • Generate daily and weekly operational reports: receiving accuracy, shrink, on-time delivery 
  • Support shrink reduction initiatives through proper handling and tracking procedures 
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, temperature control, and OSHA standards 

Education 

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred 

Work Experience 

  • 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or logistics 
  • Experience in grocery, food distribution, or retail supply chain preferred 
  • Familiarity with WMS, ERP systems, or inventory management tools 

Skills 

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in receiving and inventory processes 
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, forklift certification a plus) 
  • Basic Excel and computer skills 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required 
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills 
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in temperature-controlled environments 

Travel Requirement 

  • Primarily on-site; occasional travel to store locations as needed
