Body Shop Service Technician

Location: Austin, TX (In-person)
Pay: $24–$28/hour
Job Type: Full-time (30+ hours/week)

About the Role

We’re hiring a Body Shop Service Technician to support an autonomous vehicle fleet.

This is a hands-on position where you’ll help maintain, repair, and prepare vehicles to ensure they are safe, functional, and ready for daily operations.

Shift Options

1st Shift: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
2nd Shift: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Weekend Shift: Saturday & Sunday | 9:30 AM – 10:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Inspect and document vehicle damage
• Perform minor repairs and coordinate major repairs
• Complete routine maintenance (brakes, tires, fluids, etc.)
• Monitor vehicle condition and report issues early
• Support towing and emergency response
• Move vehicles for service, repairs, and cleaning
• Maintain shop cleanliness and organization
• Perform body work (panel alignment, bumper repair, cosmetic fixes)

Requirements

• Experience in automotive repair and body work
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Ability to identify cosmetic vs. structural damage
• Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience with electric or autonomous vehicles
• Experience with sanding, priming, or paint touch-ups
• Welding or advanced body repair experience
